About the event

The Dahlgren Heritage Museum will conduct a STEM event on the three states of matter and the scientific method on Oct 17 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the museum, 3540 James Madison Pkwy in King George.  The event is free and open to the first 10 2nd - 5th graders to register.

There are three states of matter - solid; liquid and gas. They have different properties, which can be explained by looking at the arrangement of their particles.  The event will be guided by STEM instructor Erica Borgers-Klonkowski, a bio-chemist at NSWCDD.

Parents/guardians are welcome to wait at the museum or to return by 8 p.m. for pickup.  Adults are asked to sign a consent form for photos to be used by the museum.  The event is free, but donations to the museum are encouraged.
