Free Aviation STEM Session

We are excited to announce our next STEM event, an engaging aviation demonstration designed to spark curiosity and passion for aviation among our youth.  Our new instructor, LCDR Darryl Abriam from the Aviation Adventures for Kids Network and the Joint Warfighter Analysis Center (JWAC), will lead 3^rd through 12^th graders in a fun, hands-on activity centered around flight simulation and aviation fundamentals.  LCDR Abriam brings extensive experience in supporting aviation STEM initiatives and is passionate about encouraging local youth to pursue careers in aviation and STEM fields.  As a Naval Aviator, he has flown the Naval Fleet Patrol Aircraft of P-3C Orion and the P-8 Poseidon.

Aviation has long been a field that not only fuels our imaginations but also drives significant strides in science and technology.  This activity incorporates principles of physics, geometry, meteorology, and navigation.

Parents/guardians are welcome to wait at the museum or to return for pickup by 7:30 p.m. Adults are asked to sign a consent form for photos to be used by the museum. The event is free, but donations to the museum are appreciated.

For This Event: each child who is physically present at the event will be entered in a drawing for an aviation-themed item that will be given out at the event.

Because we are limited to 15 spaces for this exciting event, it is important to us to make the most of those spaces.  If you sign your child up and then discover that you will not be able to attend after all, please notify us via the contact information we will provide you at signup.
